Golden State Star Party - GSSP
After two years of Covid hiatus, this year, we got to attend the Golden state star party.
For last ten summers or so, attending GSSP has been my yearly pilgrimage.
Two years of hiatus and July 4th long week end, made this year's event very crowded.
Tarun , Dipanshu, Tracy came. This year we had to use school gym for bathing.
Next to my tent there was an RV. They helped me setup my canopy. They came from Canada border. He makes and sells telescopes. He has published a book on stargazing through binoculars for kids.
Next to him was another RV. A retired doctor had brought it. Through his night vision scope attached to eyepiece, first time I saw the views which I had not seen before. Checked the night vision monocular prices they are about $3000.00
