Lake Tahoe-
In the night could not sleep so got out of tent. Sat on the chairs and observed the sky. I had never seen such a clear sky. I could see Andromeda galaxy with naked eye. I could see a glowing patch near Cygnus and that shold be the North American galaxy. Miliy way was also visible with naked eye. As the new binocular was inside the van, and also the Pocket guide was inside the van, I could not open the van as it would have disturbed others, So, had to just watch them with naked eye.
Next day, got up early at 4 AM. Moon had just set few minutes before. Sky was not that clear but could see Jupiter and Venus on eastern horizon. Could see venus phases and Jupiter's 4 moons. This time I had binocular so saw Andromeda galaxy with binoculars.
